FIVEM CLOTHING FILES, BODIES & SERVER SETUP EXPLAINED
A practical guide to MP Male vs MP Female clothing, YDD and YTD files, resource metadata and what needs to happen before custom clothes appear on a FiveM server.
CLOTHING IS SERVER-SIDE.
Buying or downloading clothing does not add it to every server automatically. A server owner, developer or clothing admin must install a compatible resource and expose the clothing through that server's clothing system.
- Check the supported character body first
- Keep the supplied resource structure intact
- Use the exact files and metadata supplied with the pack
- Test on your own server before giving players access
MP MALE AND MP FEMALE ARE DIFFERENT.
FiveM clothing is made for a specific GTA V freemode body. A garment built for one body should not be assumed to work on the other.
mp_m_freemode_01
Commonly used for male freemode characters. A product page should state clearly when a model is designed for this body.
mp_f_freemode_01
Uses different clothing assets and fits. Male and female clothing files are not interchangeable simply by renaming them.
WHAT DO YDD, YTD AND YMT FILES DO?
The exact contents differ between resources, but these are common file types you may see in a prepared clothing pack.
.yddDrawable / model data
Contains drawable geometry used by GTA V. In clothing packs this can hold the garment model that fits the supported character body.
.ytdTexture dictionary
Contains texture assets used by the drawable. Multiple colourways or designs may be supplied as texture variations depending on the pack.
.ymtMetadata
Some add-on clothing resources include metadata that describes clothing components and how the game should register them. Do not edit it casually.
fxmanifest.luaFiveM resource manifest
Defines a FiveM resource and the files/data it uses. A complete prepared resource commonly includes a manifest, but loose model files alone are not automatically a finished resource.

FIVEM CLOTHING FAQ.
Can I use MP Male clothing on MP Female?
No. Treat them as separate assets unless the creator explicitly supplies versions for both bodies.
Are YDD and YTD files enough to install clothing?
Not always. A prepared resource may also need a manifest, metadata and the correct folder structure. Follow the supplied pack instructions rather than assuming loose files are ready to stream.
Why is the drawable number different on my server?
Clothing indexes can depend on the resources and clothing system already installed. Use your own server's menu/system and pack instructions to identify the correct selection.
Does buying FiveM clothing unlock it for my character?
Not automatically. The resource must first be installed and made available by the server you play on.
CHECK COMPATIBILITY BEFORE CHECKOUT.
Manik Studios product pages list the supported character body and pack contents so server owners and players can check what they are buying before installation.
Browse RIVAL Volume 2 tracksuits and tees, male and female Halloween clothing, or the free Reaper Bandana.
NEED THE INSTALLATION STEPS?
Use the visual installation guide for the actual server-side process.
